We had an entire free day in Nice, France. Yibo and I slept in and missed breakfast, but it was nice having a day with no schedules and just free for us to decide what we wanted to do. We were blessed with really nice weather at Nice, perfect to walk about in the city and to visit the beach!
I love that all the buildings I saw in Europe were so nicely painted in pastel colours *-* I remember Nice as a really colourful place, even at the beach everyone was dressed in their bright coloured bikinis and swimming shorts, beach towels, everything was bursting in colour haha. So pretty. The weather was great too, maybe a little too hot haha, we got so brown after that day.
We went to the farmers’ market kind of thing, where they were selling fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, and some local hand-made products like lavender bar soaps. We didn’t actually find anything interesting enough to buy. Walking by and soaking up some of the local Sunday vibes was good enough!
Thankfully some shops were open, and yay for summer sales! I did some damage along Avenue Jean Médecin, which is the shopping street where you can do most of your shopping. It is such a long street though, but we did spend a good few hours going into almost every shop haha.
crêpes for breakfast
When in France, you have to have crêpes for breakfast! I went for the sweet banana + Nutella crêpe, and Yibo went for the savoury choice with peppers and chicken. It was real good considering how hungry we were after walking through the farmers’ market. We had a real chill morning 🙂
