On our way to Paris, our Contiki guide let us stop by Château de Fontainebleau for a quick lunch break, which is a palace just an hour away from Paris. The place was really serene and quiet, and the weather was slightly cloudy, which made is nice and cooling for a palace garden walk.
I’ve always had a thing for old palaces. The aged buildings and the grand architecture are only the tip of the iceberg, thinking about the many decades of history these buildings hold just blows my mind.
We hadn’t gotten into Paris, but the classic Haussman architecture (which is seen all over Paris) was already seen around the place. Really gave me the feels before we even got to see Paris 🙂 Plus they had a carousel in the middle of the square!!! It made everything feel even more dreamy of course haha.
