Nothing says ‘festive spirit’ like being at Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay in the pouring rain.
I decided to be a total cliché this Christmas, going to the festive attraction that virtually everyone in Singapore has gone to this season. No regrets though, Gardens by the Bay looked beautiful with all the other light displays – made us feel real festive! It was raining really heavily throughout the night, but I’m thankful that we didn’t let the weather dampen our spirits 🙂
Just like the past two years, Gardens by the Bay was transformed to create the best festive atmosphere for the season. After seeing pretty much everyone on Instagram visiting Christmas Wonderland, my FOMO self could not help it but want to visit as well!
Christmas Wonderland is essentially a yuletide fair that features light sculptures, festive markets, and carnival games! There was also an Ice Palace for those who wanted to do ice-skating, and a special cottage for a photo with Santa Claus (seemed really questionable if you asked me).
This year, tickets were on sale for people who wanted to visit the Gardens, which costed $8 per person. I gave my family and Yb a treat, in true spirit of Christmas giving, since I really wanted all of us to be there.
Too bad that it was raining, or we would’ve gotten the chance to experience Blizzard Time – essentially when it ‘snows‘. We also would’ve tried out all the food at the festive market, including donuts, churros, sausages and beer! -drools-
Thanks to Yibo’s weather-proof camera though, I was still able to take pretty photos – which was pretty much my main reason for being there hehehe.
If you’re still interested, and have not gotten over the Christmas feels, Christmas Wonderland is still open till 1 Jan 2017!
