Time for another monthly recap for January. I returned to work after our company’s Christmas/New Year break, went on a short weekend getaway with my mum, getting into a new daily yoga routine, and being given a new role at work! Can’t believe the first month of 2017 already has passed, and even CNY is over!

on the blog
Since having the website go live last month, I’ve been trying to step up my blogging game with more posts. Definitely not at the level of a content calendar (LOL), but I will try to put up consistent content here. In the meantime, catch up with the posts from January:

SETTING UP OUR CHRISTMAS TREE
It felt real lethargic coming back to work after the Christmas/New Year break. But real thankful I got to enjoy a short getaway to Hong Kong with my mum in the second week of January. I wrote a post on Tripzilla about a hipster afternoon we had, read it here! We ate, shopped, and ate again – everything typical of a Hong Kong trip really.
Trying to shed off some excess weight, I’ve started on a daily yoga routine in the past month with the help of an app I discovered. I think it’s my favourite app for January: Daily Yoga. It’s free, and you can follow free yoga lessons on the app. There’s a premium version of course, that gives you access to all the exercises, including meditation and some specially-designed programmes to follow!
So far so good, having salad at least twice a week, doing yoga at least 6 times a week, we shall see how long this lasts! LOL.
And work-wise, all’s been good. As a content writer or copywriter, I get interesting projects, as well as dull ones. You don’t get to choose your clients, and you don’t get to choose your assignments (most of the time). But other than writing, I’m being given an opportunity as a Community Manager for one of the social accounts we’ll be taking over as of February! Having been enthusiastic about social media all this time, I’m grateful for the opportunity and the experience it will give me. Of course, it also feels pretty daunting, but I’m sure I have lots to learn. Looking forward definitely!
Let’s bring on February.
