Celebrating my birthday, leaving on a getaway with Yibo, and yet another eventful month at the office – May was…hectic. I mean, just look at the frequency of blogposts over the past month (2). I was obviously really caught up with work and life, so I guess that means May’s recap is going to be much more juicy! Read more to catch up with what I’ve been up to.

I turned 23 in May! I’ve done plenty of adulting this past year, particularly since I’ve graduated and have started working full-time. I’ve gone on holidays on my own, and I’ve also made so many new work friends who I’m really thankful to have. I had a simple celebration with the family over dinner – my aunt even got me a cake specially for the occasion. We don’t usually have birthday cakes, so that was a treat.
I also spent my first birthday with the gyro family, and I am beyond thankful to be working with this bunch! They actually surprised me with an ice-cream cake from Ben & Jerry’s! It was an awesome surprise, and to be honest I was just pretty shy and embarrassed. I was also too stunned to speak. Alison said my face got red hahaha. Thank you gyro fam, you guys are the best 💖
After returning from Bangkok with my mum at the end of April, I jetted off again on a short week’s getaway with Yibo to Penang and Langkawi! Well we certainly didn’t do a lot, but I’m pretty thankful that we made the trip happen and got to spend all that quality time together.
I’ve definitely just been getting busier and busier, which is taking up so much time away from my other social obligations and personal time. It does feel pretty stressful, to which Yibo gets all the angst from me (oops sorry).

I’m hoping to manage my time better and getting more time to rest up and relax, especially the weekends obviously. Been getting back into the badminton routine after stopping from an entire month because of travels and various work events on Sundays. Time to get back to the fitness routine!
on the Blog
To be honest, there was nothing much happening on the blog last month. I certainly have not found enough time to work on blog posts. I do have about 10 drafts sitting in my WordPress though…in case anyone’s curious. Photos have all been edited and ready to go. Now all I have to do is to write all the content… (that’s going to take a long while hahaha).
I actually feel quite bad for neglecting the blog last month, especially after the happening month I had in April. I put up so many posts!
I usually promote my content on Instagram Stories (follow me on @jtwonggg)! I also share a lot of amusing moments from my typical work day on my Stories. You have to watch to understand LOL.
