The last dinner party at KJ’s house was such a roaring success that we HAD to organise another one ahead of the looming games period, where we would be knee-deep into all the social media updates for the Team Singapore page.
(Yes we help to manage the Team Singapore page – I do community management on there.)
So since SEA Games and ASEAN Para Games season were looming ahead of us (which has already begun as you’re reading this post), we decided to have another gathering to get everyone in high spirits before we get buried in work.
I decided that it made PERFECT sense for me to help Nick prepare her brussels sprouts dish for the dinner. We were all very, very nervous about Nick cooking, so I volunteered to help/monitor her. Though after I did that I regretted because I know nothing about cooking.
BUT, the brussels sprouts turned out better than expected though. Everyone said they were decent HAHA. 🙌🏼
Everyone else brought/cooked amazing food. Our tummies were all very blessed. Shen even made dessert?!?! I was so bloated after I ate that lava cake with ice-cream OMG.
Look at our feast:
We also got to KJ’s house earlier so that we could catch Hannah before her bedtime! She’s a precious little thing, isn’t she? I think she got pretty overwhelmed by us all being there, and got bored of her dinner. She did offer me a little piece of her chicken…hahaha.
And then of course we couldn’t leave KJ’s house without playing Overcooked (and screaming at Nick about it).
Also thanks to KJ and Sarah (+ Hannah & Milli) for hosting us in their beautiful, cosy home!
Thankful to be working with such an amazing team. Things are getting real crazy (starting this Sunday), but I know we’ll pull through hahaha.
