January was as typical as you would expect the first month of the year to be. Welcoming 2018 with the new year new me mindset. Though, I was away in Europe until the second week of January, so my fresh start felt like it began slightly later than everyone else.

January was pretty amazing. Started off the first day of the year travelling to Vienna from Prague, on an awesome train ride. We arrived at our nicest apartment on the trip: the beds were comfy, the kitchen was huge, the bathroom looked amazing etc… Yibo was beyond pleased – ask anyone on the trip hahaha.
Yibo and I got our private time back in the last few days of our trip, spending 2 days in Salzburg and 1.5 days in London, where we met up with Toon for fish & chips and a drink after. It was nice to have a spontaneous dinner together, and we got some good ideas out of the meeting!!
First thing on the agenda when I got back home was to get cracking on my bullet journal prep!!! Yes, this year I’m going to jump on the bullet journal bandwagon and try it out. It’s been a month so far and honestly, it’s been great! So long as I bother investing the time in making everything is nice and organised, I’m good. Anyway, having things like habit trackers really help to keep me more accountable.
Other things: I started a 10 Day Beginner Journey on my Daily Yoga app, and I didn’t finish it because each time I came home late after a night out, I gave up on the routine (oops).
Ziyi came back to Singapore for the festive season, so we got to have a big gathering before Jieyu jetted off to Japan for work :’) Was so nice to have everyone gathered together (missing Gerald of course). It’s always a fantastic time with these guys.
Also made some time in January for some overdue catch-ups with friends: Cheryl!! & Sarah + Renee. These meet-ups have been in the plans for quite so time but I guess the new year really gets people up on their feet to pick a proper date!
The start of the new year really got me to focus more on filling up the blog. I put up 4 posts! That’s pretty decent isn’t it? As I’m writing this, I’m also thinking about more ideas for February.

Chinese New Year brings on feasting, angpao collection, dressing up in new clothes etc. And then there’s Valentine’s Day, Yibo’s birthday, allllll coming up in February! So much to look forward to this month, I absolutely can’t wait 🙂
Bring on February!
