Last week marked my first year on a full-time job, and also my one year at gyro. It’s been a crazy year, and I’ve filmed plenty of it. And since I found some time this week, I thought I’d put all the memories together to look back at this past year.
The weather that day was perfect for a rooftop barbecue at Sean’s house. It felt like we were close to having a rainy evening, but the clouds held on and we got to enjoy a cool breezy night while having BBQ food!
I think June has got to be the most hectic and productive months so far. It’s like the opposite of the June school holidays, I actually got quite a lot done: Put up so many Instagram/blog posts, watched Wonder Woman, celebrated mine, Jia’s and Bel’s birthdays, went to Gardens by the Bay for the first time (!), and had many happening weekends.
Meeting the teamies for a long-overdue dinner. Always feel like we’re teenagers again!

I am an awkward photographer.
I love taking photos. I’m certainly not a professional, but it’s something I enjoy doing and am passionate about. Especially while I’m travelling, I’ll never be seen without my camera.
I follow so many photographers and professional content creators on Instagram, and I truly enjoy all of their work! Sometimes I wish I could shoot as well as they do. But I’m also too awkward and shy to get the shots I want.
Most of the time I regret missing out on certain photo opportunities because I was too shy or too self-conscious. And so instead of getting my shit together and stop being such an awkward photographer, I decided to share my awkward thoughts here on the blog:
Chirashi don is such a crowd favourite among us and so Tanuki Raw was a no-brainer. Plenty of other restaurant on my imaginary list that we have yet to try though! Glad we finally found the time to celebrate Jia and my belated birthdays after weeks of exams and travelling.
Read on for mouthwatering photos of our food hahaha 🍱
