Year of the Rooster!

Hope everyone had a roaring celebration this Year of the Rooster!

CNY for our family was quieter this year, since we’re not supposed to celebrate because of my grandmother’s passing. We still made it a point to make the holiday a family affair anyway. We went through the usual motions, just excluding the 拜年s and giving out of angpaos.

Since I didn’t get to do a gratitude post for my new year post last month, I thought I’d do one as a way of ringing in the Lunar New Year!

Through the best & worst times

Went back to DHS last Saturday thanks to Ms Fang for jio-ing us. Sat in at the DHSBT Welcome Tea this year, and saw so many batches of juniors that I no longer even recognise. It was super surreal and as the teachers and team captains gave their pep talks before the season started this year, I also thought back on my experience with the team.

Looking back at my 2015

I thought it would be nice to take some time to look back at my year so far, before welcoming 2016 with open arms. Each year seems to go by faster and faster and it’s really to scary to imagine how much time has gone past.

As you grow older, you are also more sensitive to time passing. I guess it’s natural then, to feel that time is going faster and faster.

Days that go uncaptured

I had a short but sweet dinner date with Yibo this Wednesday.

No we didn’t have an elaborately planned out evening together. No we didn’t enjoy a sumptuous dinner at a classy restaurant. Nor was it any special occasion.

But I think simple moments like this are the most precious: when you didn’t intend to make it all special or memorable.
