A birthday photoshoot at Gardens by the Bay

This was my first time ever doing a birthday photoshoot with a cake outdoors – and at my favourite location, Gardens by the Bay, no less! I loved the idea of an outdoor birthday shoot when K suggested it for our theme.

I’ve done a couple of birthday photoshoots where we’ve had a cake, but I’ve never done the shoot outdoors under the Singapore heat. My suggestion to K was to prioritise the look of the cake instead of the taste, since it was probably unsafe for consumption after taking it outside. She got a mini birthday cake and decorated it with mini ribbons she got on Shopee! It looked so cute for the photos.

For an outdoor birthday photoshoot like this, I’d suggest getting a bento cake or a little cupcake! Just something that could fit a candle would be amazing for visuals.
