It’s nice to gather the whole extended family for an outdoor family shoot once in a while. It’s a great family activity together, and a chance for everyone to get out for some fresh air.
I feel like family photos are no longer that big a thing after children go into their teen years. You no longer baby them and take a million photos to document their growth. The relationship dynamic changes, and family photos are taken maybe during birthdays, or annual festivities like Christmas or Lunar New Year.
Kelwin and his wife had come back to Singapore to visit his parents and he booked an outdoor family shoot for everyone before he went home to Australia. It was so heartwarming to see the family members all come together to enjoy the photoshoot, and everyone trying to engage the baby of the family to pay attention to the camera.
Family shoots are quite stressful for me, but also so rewarding when I see the photos I’ve captured.
