Portrait photoshoot + walking tour around Singapore’s iconic spots

3rd September 2025

The brief for this shoot was to capture as many iconic Singapore spots as possible during our 2.5h portrait photoshoot. The plan: To do a walking tour around the city and shoot our way through as many spots as we pass by. (PS. we did take 2 taxi rides in between!)

Our first spot: Gardens by the Bay

We started our portrait photoshoot at one of Singapore’s top tourist destinations. This place convinces you that Singapore is rightfully known as a garden city. We spent around 45min here going around different photo spots before taking a taxi to the next location.

Stop 2: Old Hill Street Police Station

I’m sure you’ll see this building if you simply search for iconic photo spots in Singapore – I’ve seen it on Pinterest a couple of times! The rainbow coloured windows make this such a vibrant backdrop for your photos. It’s a plus if the sun is shining bright too!

Stop 3 & 4: Children’s Museum Singapore + Peranakan Museum

The colourful, vibrant exterior of the Children’s Museum drew us in as we were walking down Hill St so we made sure to snap a couple of photos here. We also made a stop at the Peranakan Museum along Armenian St because the wall murals caught our eye!

Our final stop: Chinatown

We decided to take a taxi down to our last and final stop of the day at Chinatown. Since we got there pretty early in the morning (around 10am), the crowds were minimal and we could get street shots easily without many people around!

This portrait photoshoot took me around Singapore like I was a tourist. Not gonna lie, it was pretty fun and memorable! We walked, chatted, and took photos like we were on holiday together. I always enjoy bringing tourists around Singapore and seeing my home through their lens. As I watch them take in the sights of Singapore in awe, I appreciate being able to call this place my home.

I can’t believe how efficient we were – ticking off so many iconic spots in Singapore within 2.5h. If you’re travelling in a group, I would recommend booking for at least 3h to complete the same course because we’d likely move slower as compared to just being the two of us!

If you’d like to recreate this experience for yourself too, I’ve got you! Check out my prices and leave an enquiry so I can get in touch with you as soon as possible.
