SUSS graduation photoshoot at National Gallery
If you’ve ever been to the National Gallery, you might have noticed that it is a popular location for graduation photoshoots. Keep scrolling and you’ll understand why!
To mark her graduation from Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), my client chose to do a portrait photoshoot with me! An atypical graduation photoshoot that was done off campus and also mixing in some photos in her plain clothes for more generic uses.
We chose National Gallery for its iconic exterior and an interior with grandeur that was so appropriate for a graduation milestone! National Gallery is one of my go-to locations when I’m looking for an indoor photoshoot spot.
I highly encourage doing graduation photoshoots at indoor spaces because the graduation gown is so thick and bulky especially under the Singapore heat. When I graduated from NUS years ago, I did an outdoor graduation shoot at Punggol Park with my friends in our graduation gowns and we sweat so much.
However, please note that most indoor spaces like National Gallery will probably stop you from shooting in your graduation gown indoors. I usually start my graduation shoot outdoors in the gown, shooting along the exterior of the National Gallery. We then move indoors to shoot with plain clothes to avoid being called out by the security.
